This is  a really good idea to get some quick rocky terrain together, well worth a look. I'd have never thought of using foam rubber like that.

 I like the way that it looks very 'porous' and 'volcanic', a bit like pumice stone. Maybe good to use for volcaninc Death World terrain, on a volcanic board. Surround it with lava flows and away you go. It should certainly be quite quick to make, and makes a change from the usual expanded / extruded polystyrene foam. I love inventive use of materials like this, top marks!
